Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef (or a mixture of 1 lb. ground beef and 1/2 lb ground pork)
1 large egg, slightly beaten
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/3 cup breadcrumbs (or use enough to hold the meat together
(* If you don't have dry breadcrumbs, soak 3 slices of bread in the milk)
1 1/2 Tablespoon fresh minced garlic or 1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/3 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or 2 Tablespoons dried parsley
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix all ingredients well.
Shape into small meatballs.
Drop into simmering pasta sauce.
Do not stir for at least 20 minutes, to avoid breaking up the meatballs.
Stir.
Continue cooking in the simmering sauce for another 20 minutes.
Continue cooking your sauce as desired.
Stir often to avoid burning the bottom.
* You may also bake the meatballs at 350 F for 25 minutes or until cooked through, if desired.
